Why prepare to write the IELTS exam?

You may need to prove your English language proficiency for a number of reasons.  The IELTS Academic exam is accepted for college and university entrance.  The IELTS General exam is accepted for immigration purposes.  Whatever your reason, if you need to write an English language proficiency exam, we recommend taking an IELTS preparation course.

Why choose IELTS?

IELTS exams in Mississauga are paper-based and the oral exam is a face to face interview with an examiner in person.  These two factors are important for many test-takers.  If you like to take notes on your exam paper and for example underline or circle parts of your reading test while you search for the answer, then a paper-based test may be better for you.  If you communicate more effectively in person than you do over the telephone or through a computer, then an interview with an examiner may be the best way to show your English speaking skills.

Preparing for the IELTS exam

IELTS preparation courses in Mississauga will help you prepare for the IELTS exam.  Being prepared involves a lot more than improving your English skills.  Time management skills and IELTS test talking strategies are also very important.  This is why it is very important to learn about how the Listening Test and Reading Test are designed to identify which candidates receive a band score of 7.  It is also important to understand specifically what the examiner is looking for when he or she marks the Speaking Test and the Writing Test.  The more you know about the expectations of the IELTS exam, the easier it will be for you to prepare to take the IELTS.
