Instructor, Focus Education Centre of Canada

Dr. Mahendru Received an M.D. from All Saints School of Medicine in Dominica and a Bachelor of Science from York University in Toronto. Since high school, she has a passion for teaching and has taken up multiple teaching opportunities, from math and science tutoring clubs to teaching premedical students. Her major strength is her confidence in public speaking, which keeps the students engaged and motivated.

She manages her time working as a Physician Assistant in a busy family medical clinic as well as by teaching. Apart from this, she has volunteered her time at Sick Kids Hospital, Children’s Aid Society and rural and remote villages in India.


 

Dr. Niroshy J. Jeyaseelan  (Part Time)

 Instructor, Focus Education Centre of Canada

Dr. Niroshy Jeyaseelan grew up in Toronto and attended McGill University in Montreal for her undergraduate degree.  Dr. Jeyaseelan completed her B.Sc., majoring in Anatomy & Cell Biology; minoring in International Development Studies.  She received her M.D. degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica.  She completed her clerkship rotations in New York, Ontario, Maryland, Florida, and Ohio

Dr. Niroshy Jeyaseelan has successfully completed all the Canadian and American Medical Licensing Boards MCCEE, MCCQE1, NAC OSCE, USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK, USMLE Step 2 CS. She is currently working in a family medicine clinic in downtown Toronto.  Apart from working full time and teaching part time Dr. Niroshy Jeyaseelan is passionate about international medical missions and is presently involved with a project in Sri Lanka.


 

Dr. Bobby Paikatt (Part Time)

Instructor, Focus Education Centre of Canada

Dr. Bobby Paikatt Received an M.D. from St. Christopher’s Ima Mar Diop.  Dr. Bobby Paikatt has successfully completed his Canadian and American Medical Boards and has enjoyed part time teaching at Focus Education Centre of Canada classes both for the USMLE Step 1 as well as the MCCEE. Dr. Paikatt has strong personal interest in family medicine and community health and his interest has been cultivated from living in diverse communities all his life from as far north as Manitoba to as far south as the Dominican Republic. He has a passion for medicine and teaching throughout his brief medical career as well as volunteering at a community health clinic, web design, movies and playing softball on weekends.
